If you are interested in learning Japanese as a foreign language and are looking for ways to let your computer help you do that be sure to drop me a line at leggewie (a) users.sourceforge.net. You can also take a look at the project page to find out more about the gakusei initiative. Please feel free to contribute by making suggestions or comments in the tracker. The RFE section (Request for enhancement) might be most appropriate.
We have had a good deal of interest and the community has been growing as of late. This is good news and we hope to grow further, opensource software is like so many things all about critical mass.
I know this site should talk more about the aims of this project. For one, this is still to be decided. Overall, it can be anything that relates to computer-aided learning of the Japanese language. But to be a bit more specific, I want to list a couple of things that I hope to get out of this project and that I think would make valuable contributions.
